SUMMER HAF PROGRAMME 2024

This summer Clip ‘n Climb Cambridge has got involved in a HAF Programme funded by Cambridge County Council. Clip ‘n Climb has offered 4 HAF sessions, welcoming over 70 climbers to enjoy a 2-hour fun-filled activity, including lunch for young people with additional needs, who are also entitled to benefit related free school meals.

The session includes 1 hour of climbing, and 1 hour for lunch. The climbing experience gave the opportunity for climbers to burn off their built-up energy over the school holidays. Our 20 climbing walls and 2 extremes each pose a unique challenge, with different shapes, obstacles and colours, requiring different skills and targeting different areas of the climber’s body

Clip ‘n Climb Cambridge is the perfect activity to ensure that young people stay active and provides families with the opportunity to engage in activities they may not usually participate in.  At Clip ‘n Climb Cambridge we passionately share an ethos around inclusion for all abilities. Climbing allows individuals to challenge themselves and we take great pride in offering separate SEND sessions to meet requirements of individuals, as well as work with SEND charities such as Spectrum.

The programme ran by is Cambridge County Council is fantastic and is designed to give opportunities for families to take part in something different. Being part of the HAF programme allows us to give back to the community, ensure inclusivity and provide a safe space as we understand the longest School holiday of the year can be a particularly challenging one. With a new term approaching, Clip ‘n Climb Cambridge will continue to work with both SEND and community groups and support future programmes. If booking a community or SEND group is of interest to you, please contact us via email or telephone.
