We’re excited to offer work experience placements at Clip 'n Climb Cambridge, giving students a behind the scenes look at how our climbing centre operates.
During a placement, students will support our team with daily tasks such as preparing equipment, helping keep the centre organised, and observing instructors during climbing sessions. They’ll also gain experience in customer service by welcoming visitors and learning how we create a safe, friendly environment for climbers of all ages. Safety is a key focus, and students will learn why equipment checks, clear communication, and teamwork are essential in an active sports setting. Where appropriate and supervised, there may also be opportunities to try climbing and experience the centre from a customer’s perspective.
Our work experience placements are ideal for students who enjoy being active, working with people, and learning how a busy leisure facility runs. No previous climbing experience is required — just enthusiasm and a willingness to get involved.
Stage one is to apply by getting in touch with us via email to express your interest in work experience. If suitable, stage two involves being invited to an informal, face-to-face interview at the centre so we can meet you and talk through what to expect. Stage three is confirming your placement, including dates and any required paperwork, ready for your work experience to begin.
Please note we are offering a one-week placement in Summer 2026, w/b 6th or 13th July. The successful candidate will work over 5 days, including a Saturday or Sunday. Deadline for applications is 18th January 2026.
