CELEBRATING 6 YEARS OF CLIP ‘N CLIMB CAMBRIDGE

This month sees us celebrating our 6th birthday, and what a six years it has been!  We have welcomed over 250,000 climbers through our doors in that time, hosted thousands of birthday parties, and cheered countless climbers on who came through our doors feeling nervous, and left being confident climbers.

Back in 2016, the building of Clip ‘n Climb Cambridge happened between 26th May and 6th August.  Entre-Prises and Fresh Development helped us design a fun centre that gives a fantastic climbing experience to our visitors, with walls for people starting out as well as our thrill seekers.  It was amazing to see an empty building, with a squeaky floor that our toddler LOVED running around on, turn into the arena that we have today.  A mezzanine was built to house our party area, and increase our capacity for visitors, and we were ready!  We’ve run sessions for toddlers, schools, youth groups, SEN groups and corporate guests, as well as many many birthday parties!

We’ve also be very fortunate to support many charities, including Spectrum, EACH and Cambridge4Ukraine.

As with everyone, the last 2.5 years have been tricky, and hats off to our team who have helped us navigate the many, varied rules and restrictions that have been part of our every day working.

However, it seems right to mention one person who has been instrumental in the success of the centre. If you have visited our centre, used our climbing hoist or given us a call, it’s likely that you’ve met Tamara, our Centre Manager!

Tamara started on Day 1 as a member of our climbing team, rising to be a Climbing Supervisor, Climbing Manager, Front of House Manager and now our Centre Manager.  Tamara has certainly done every job there is to do in the centre!

Now working towards her Level 5 NVQ in Operations Management, after achieving a Distinction in her Level 3 NVQ in Team Leading, we are very proud of all that Tamara has achieved in her professional life.

Here’s to 6 years of Clip ‘n Climb Cambridge and being part of the amazing leisure sector in Cambridge!
